Major global lessor, part of a large banking group, seeking a collections and recoveries account manager to join an experienced team chasing and managing arrears and defaults. Main focus on arrears aged 60-90 days, across all business channels (including working with suppliers, vendors and broker partners). Manage the full collection and recovery process in order to minimise risk and ensure the timely collection of payments. Arranging sustainable repayment plans through effective evaluation of income & expenditure with customers in need. Review contractual documents to identify information that can add value to the recovery process, including obtaining valuations from the Asset Management team. Liaise with the Collections Team Leader on serious delinquencies and coordinate actions. Review cases for bad debt provision recommendation, completing necessary paperwork for Head of Collections. Ensure compliance with all regulatory legislation and prepare all legal paperwork when required. Manage occasional project and development work, and be proactive in developing and improving processes. Requires excellent organisational skills and be a good communicator. Good hybrid working available.

Leasing division of a well-established Bank, with a focus on broker introduced business. They have a newly created position. Working closely with an experienced Collections Officer to ensure the efficient and timely collection of asset finance arrears, by maintaining a pro-active strategy. Requires at least 2 - 4 years’ experience in a similar collections/recoveries role. Involves the monitoring of their finance portfolio and taking prompt action when accounts go into arrears. Making telephone calls to customers, emailing and sending letters to assess best course of action that protects the business and also treats the customer fairly. A challenging and highly rewarding role, supporting their customers in understanding their financial situation, asking exploratory questions to agree suitable arrangements. Also, identifying customers that show signs of vulnerability and ensure suitable steps are taken. Maintain and prepare arrears and portfolio reports for management as required. Provide a consistent high quality customer service to both external and internal customers. Strong negotiation skills essential. Offering hybrid working, requiring attendance of their offices three times per week.

Reporting directly into their Risk Director, you will be overseeing an established Collections and Recoveries team of six, controlling all processes, with a strong focus on portfolio oversight, responsible for identifying all potential problem debt exposures. Provide the highest levels of customer service quality whilst minimising risk and costs and achieving critical KPI’s. Follow policy, using good awareness of compliance, legal processes, insolvency procedures and statutory requirements. Management of strategic initiatives for business long-term performance plans, liaising with senior management/ Directors on debt management, arrears and repossessions. Provide timely production of management information to support decision making. Candidates must have a good knowledge of credit risk, restructuring and legal recoveries. Proven people management and leadership skills essential. Flexible on applicants’ locations, with good hybrid options. Main leasing division based just outside of London.
